Bay Bridge - West Bound Lift System
Bay Bridge - Transition Span Lift
Part of design team for lifting and installation of 200 foot long transition span between the skyway and the self-anchoring suspension span of the new Bay Bridge. Transition span was 1,700 tons and was lifted 200 feet in the air, over water.

Developed lift plans to lift into place an enormous steel section of the Bay Bridge weighing over 1,700 tons. The 200-foot by 85-foot transition span is a steel box girder bridge segment that will carry 5 lanes of eastbound traffic. This lift was the largest in CalTrans history.

Responsible for designing eastide cantilevered lift system consisting of (4) 365 ton hydraulic strand jacks.

Created 2D CAD drawings of fabrication drawings for support girders.
