Mirant - Dickerson Station

Designer of coal fly ash filtration sytstem.

 

  • Designed layout and created drawings for 1,700 lineal feet of ductwork.

  • Designed structural supports for ductwork.

  • Redesigned ductwork layout after Mirant filed for bankruptcy. Had to accomplish same amount of filtration with 900 lineal feet of ductwork.

  • Created design drawings for structural steel supports.

Steel Detailer

 

  • Started off creating 2D drawings using drafting board, mechanical pencil, rulers and straight edge. Then, moved into 2D & 3D CAD.

  • Responsible for creating 2D & 3D CAD fabrication drawings for steel beams, columns and braces.

  • Responsible for material take off for quantities, weights and types of steel required for the project design.
